The mission of the William B. Harlan Memorial Library is to provide citizens access to information to enhance their personal growth, to create an understanding of cultural and social issues in the world community, and to satisfy their desire for recreational and leisure reading experiences. The library also provides citizens with an environment to interact with others and to participate in community activities and events.
How To Get A Library Card
Membership to the library is free for all residents of Monroe County. A government ID with picture and current information as well as a piece of mail showing current residence is required.
Children under 18 are eligible to receive cards with a parent or guardian signature. Parent must have a card in good standing.
Residents of the following counties are eligible
to receive a free library card if they possess a
card in good standing at their local library.
Adair, Allen, Barren, Casey, Clinton,
Cumberland, Green, Hart, McCreary, Metcalfe,
Pulaski, Russell, Taylor, and Wayne
Clay and Macon

Audio Books 2 Weeks
DVDs 4 Days
Magazines 2 weeks
Books $.05 per day
Audio Books $.50 per day
DVD's $1.00 per day
Replacement card $1.00
Patrons are allowed to have up to 20 items checked out at one time.
DVD check-outs are limited to 4 per household.
