About William B. Harlan Memorial Library
The mission of the William B. Harlan Memorial Library is to provide citizens with access to information to enhance their personal growth, to create an understanding of cultural and social issues in the world community, and to satisfy their desire for recreational and leisure reading experiences. The library also provides citizens with an environment to interact with others and to participate in community activities and events.
Monday- 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday- 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday- 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Thursday- 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Friday- 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday- 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

The library is conveniently located near downtown Tompkinsville, directly across from the Board of Education and next door to Yokley and Trible Funeral Home.
How To Get A Library Card
A membership to the library is free for all residents of Monroe County. Just bring in a picture ID with current information and a piece of mail showing current residence.
Individuals under the age of 18 are eligible to receive cards too, as long as a parent or guardian has a card in good standing and serves as the child's responsible party.
Residents of the following counties are eligible to receive a free membership if they possess a card in good standing at their local library.
Books 2 Weeks
Audio Books 2 Weeks
DVDs 4 Days
Magazines 2 Weeks
Books $.05 per day
Audio Books $.50 per day
DVD's $1.00 per day
Replacement card (If lost or stolen) 5.00
Patrons are allowed to have up to 20 items checked out at one time. DVD check-outs are limited to 4 per household and only patrons 18 years and older are allowed to check out DVDs.
